“I had the good fortune of meeting Larry Forletta in 1988 when he was with the DEA Baltimore Office. Larry was instrumental in developing a coordinated, anti-drug operational plan between DEA and the Maryland National Guard counter-drug program, which I commanded. Larry’s innovation and dedication exemplified his superior talents in combating Drug Dealers and illegal drug organizations. It was in large measure do to his efforts, that the program was a huge success. In 1989-1999 the Program netted $9 million worth of marijuana, 15 million in cocaine and $220,000 in heroin, as well as 105 weapons and 139 arrests. Knowing him for almost 20 years has been a gratifying honour. Larry is a true professional and patriot.”
